Project Digital Sol, also known as Sol Digital, is an innovative initiative dedicated to providing off-grid computer education to children in Peru and El Salvador. By leveraging partnerships with organizations such as The Vatican, the governments of Peru and El Salvador, SpaceX, and UNICEF, the project aims to bridge the digital divide and empower the next generation with essential technology skills.
The core mission of Project Digital Sol is to deliver accessible, high-quality computer education to underserved communities. Through a combination of modern hardware, open-source educational platforms, and curated coding curricula, the project ensures that students have the tools and resources needed to learn, create, and thrive in a digital world.
To support learning in remote areas, Project Digital Sol integrates affordable laptops, solar-powered charging solutions, and reliable internet connectivity via satellite. The educational ecosystem is further enhanced by gamified mobile applications and a robust learning management system, fostering engagement and long-term success for young learners.
